The last couple of months have been full of birthday cake orders, but one in particular was especially meaningful for me.  Malachi, the very special little boy who inspired the creation of the Cake Kitchen, turned 4 years old!

Malachi is a huge fan of trains, especially Thomas the Tank Engine.  I had a lot of fun sculpting his cake and he had just as much fun watching it come to life.  The cake was traditional white cake with buttercream frosting.  Thomas' face was created with fondant and the coal car was filled with plain M&Ms and peanuts.
